Harvest of Fun: Visit Roba Farms

Katherine Orellana

Nestled in the scenic Endless Mountains, Roba Family Farms has been a cherished destination for family fun in Northeastern Pennsylvania since 1990.

What began as a humble Christmas Tree farm has flourished into an expansive family-owned business with attractions and activities for every season.

The Roba family, led by John and Sue, planted their first Christmas trees in 1985. Five years later, they opened their doors to the public. Over time, the farm evolved, offering not only Christmas trees but also pumpkins and festive fall experiences. Today, John and Sue’s children, Jennifer, Jeff and his wife Julianne, run the farms ensuring the family legacy continues. Even the third generation of Robas has gotten involved in keeping the farm's traditions alive.

Roba Family Farms offers a variety of themed events and attractions that draw visitors from near and far. During the fall season, guests can enjoy a range of festivals and activities, from pumpkin picking to corn mazes.

Some of the farm’s most popular events include:

Jurassic Farm Dino Fest: A prehistoric adventure with 20+ life-sized dinosaurs, live shows, and the Baby Dinosaur Nursery.

Pumpkin Harvest Festival: An autumn favorite with hayrides, pumpkin patches, and endless family-friendly fun.

Halloween on the Farm: Spooky yet fun, featuring The Glowing Pumpkin Trail and various Halloween-themed rides and attractions.

No matter the time of year, Roba Family Farms offers exciting entertainment for all ages. The Rock Mountain Slides provide thrilling races, while the corn maze challenges your navigation skills. For those looking to test their accuracy, the Apple Cannons offer a fun and unique challenge exclusive to Super General Admission holders.

Fans of live entertainment can catch The Marvelous Mutts Dog Show, Hillbilly Pig Races, and the ever-popular Roba Candy Cannon. The Glowing Pumpkin Trail lights up the night with over 25 intricately carved pumpkin scenes along a scenic 1/4-mile walking path.

Fall would not be complete without delicious seasonal treats. Guests can enjoy classics like Cider Donuts, Kettle Corn and Caramel Apples. For something new, try the Pumpkin Funnel Cakes, Pumpkin Donuts, or fresh-baked cookies at Jake's Grill House. And for the perfect fall treat, do not miss the Cider King Slush—a layered masterpiece of cider slush, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and a cider donut.
