SCRANTON – The Fall 2020 Student Activities Fair that had been scheduled to be held 12 to 3 p.m. last Saturday and was rescheduled to Sunday because of inclement weather, has been postponed again until the week of Sept. 7 on Fitzpatrick Field.

“As we navigate this new semester amidst a global pandemic, we continue to learn how best to work with and support student engagement,” a statement from the Center for Student Engagement said.

In past years, student clubs and organizations at the University hosted tables showcasing their organization for opportunities to recruit new members and provide information on their mission. The Manning’s Ice Cream truck is also set to make an appearance.

This year, The Center for Student Engagement said it will make changes to the way the fair will run due to challenges faced with maintaining social distance at in-person events. It will be modified to accommodate social distancing requirements in accordance with the Royals Safe Together plan.

More details will be shared about the updated event in the coming week, according to the Center for Student Engagement.
